Layout About Me
All About Me AAM#14
The latest AAM challenge is all about "Giving Up"...what this quote means to you:
"Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak; sometimes, it means that you are strong enough to let go."
Here's my take:
AAM#14
Title: Let go! Let GOD!
Journaling -
I had been a "Working Mom" from Oct., 1982 to June, 2005. Then I retired. It was not until a few years after retirement when I realized what I had given up during my "working years" as far as my children were concerned...their formative / growing up years (the years when they were dependent on "Mom" for almost everything). It was hard for me and for them to adjust to my being a "Stay-at-Home Mom", 24/7 of our lives. I was suffocating them with my attempts at playing "MOM" to the hilt (trying so hard to make up for all the years that I did miss). Now I know that they do not need that kind of "Mom" anymore. They are all grown-ups and have their own lives to live.
I am not giving up on being a "MOM", I am just letting go and letting GOD!
Thank you, AAM Ladies for giving me the opportunity to get to know myself better through these challenges.
Note: I used Pink Sketches #32.

One More Challenge Blog
Moments Recorded Mar-Feb-Jan Challenges
In keeping with my resolve to join more challenges this year, I chose Moments Recorded's monthly challenges. Here are my layouts for Mar-Feb-Jan (2010):
March - a sketch challenge (see sketch here)
Title: "Lovely"
Journal: Isn't she lovely...I {heart} this girl.
February - About LOVE
Title: "Young LOVE"
Journal: 16 November 1975, the day we were officially "ON". F and I met in PCIBank where we both work. We started out as friends in a group of officemates. There were 6-8 of us in the group. We would have lunch together and go on group dates after office. These pictures were taken during one of our one-hour lunch breaks. We would walk from our office in T.M. Kalaw to Luneta Park and goof around. To be young and in love...
A man snatches the first kiss; pleads for the second; demands the third; takes the fourth; accepts the fifth; and, endures all the rest! ---Helen Rowland
LO based on Scrap-a-Little Sketch#14.
January - Plans for 2010
Title: "i resolve to...
Journal: i resolve to...be ME!...be happy...be positive...be grateful...create more...pray more...read more
LO based on Scrap-a-Little Sketch#02.
I had fun doing these LOs and loved how they all turned out.

Personality Test
All About Me Challenge No. 13
When I saw this current challenge over at AMM, I got curious. I had never done any online personality test before and I wanted to see the results. I did it! Have a look...
AAM#13 - My Personality
Title: "I am ME"
According to the Myers Briggs Personality Test, I have an "ISFJ" type of personality...Introverted, Sensing, Feeling and Judging! An "ISFJ" is a "Conservator", one who desires to be of service and to minister to individual needs; and, is very loyal.
I guess, that's ME! LOL!
